21 Days Lockdown - Day 7

Hello everyone!
Today is the 7th Day of this lockdown. I hope all of you are in good health and spirits. As time has progressed so have my thoughts about the lockdown. Earlier I used to think about this lockdown mainly in terms of how should I spend my time meanwhile this disease leaves my country. Now my thoughts have progressed to what should I do right now so that it will be helpful to me when all of this is over. For the past few days, I have frequently mentioned that I feel a little sad or a little depressed due to this pandemic. Today while thinking retrospectively I found out the reason for the same.

The explosion of information, news, memes and various other articles have confused us. They have thrown our world or I would say brain into more chaos then it can handle. In my opinion, everybody has a threshold for unreal and challenging things which they can handle in their personal life. This pandemic, lockdown and various other articles regarding both of these have crossed the threshold of almost everyone. Be it an increasing number of deaths in Europe or increasing number of cases in the United States of America, rumours that India is not testing and not accepting stage 3 for the disease, lack of personal protective equipment for medical health professionals all around the world are few of the things which have added to the stress of the medical community as well as the general population. While thinking about these things I also stumbled upon the solution for the same.

The question which we have to tackle here is how to avoid this chaos in our lives? The only solution which I could find out for this problem during the whole day was that I have to be a little less involved in social media. Social media makes you go into a virtual world which has no limitations. It can benefit as well as harm you in many ways. Once I was watching an interview with Mr Louis CK in which he gave his observation of why people keep on clicking to their screens. In that interview what he explained was that people are afraid of being with themselves i.e. they are afraid to face the reality of their life which might be sad or just normal whereas when they are in the virtual world they feel happy because they have made a virtual image of themselves which is praised, criticized or sought after by others. He also further goes on saying that this is the main reason why people look into the screens even while they are driving or doing some important work. This observation combined with my thoughts made me come to a conclusion that maybe I have been driven into this chaos by this virtual life as normally I am an individual who does minimal interaction on social media and believes in meeting people (not even calls). Once I had this epiphany I decided to leave social media for the time being and consume only the facts which will be helpful for me to pass my time. Due to this decision from tomorrow onwards, I will be coming up with blogs only once in 2 days. Most of my day went in my duty as I have been on call since 8:30 a.m. I had a good run after resting for 48 hours, five miles in 49 minutes. During that run, I could see that even if my pace was on the higher side of my range my heartbeat did not cross 160 beats per minute. For those who do not know for a runner it's a good cardiovascular condition. Apart from my work and a good run I had good meals both the times because I feel the restrictions have been a little relaxed as compared to the first day of the lockdown due to which most of the eateries have opened up. So this was my seventh day of the lockdown and what I did and realised during this phase. I hope you enjoyed reading it. Will meet you soon after 48 hours. Be safe.

Attention ! Attention !!

First though t -  Maybe some announcement. Wrong Second though t - OK. The author wants attention.  True In this particular piece, I would like to address an issue of - Lack of Attention amongst us. The motivation behind this particular piece is my real life friend. Lack of attention when someone talks, discusses, reads or writes something without graphical depiction of the subject is a real issue nowadays. The attention span of most of the modern humans has become smaller than the time taken by a hand grenade to explode after taking out the pin, which ranges from 4 to 8 seconds. This might seem like an exaggeration but is actually very true. The first proof in my argument is that few of the readers are already bored by now, reading about a Real Problem . So to just keep them engrossed here it is -                                                                               Many of you might choose to read about what I have to express, few because of the previo

So the problem about which I was talking was - the advent of technology in everyone's life. Before I express my views I would like you to go down the memory lane and remember about your school life. Do you remember how we used to have school debates and extempore. Now let the juices of your brain flow and try to extract out this particular information that in one of those you might have debated about the advent of technology in the modern era or

Shimla - The Queen Of Hills !

Bone-chilling cold crept up  my legs into my torso. My teeth started chattering when I suddenly realized that the temperature had gone far below zero degree Celsius. I switched on the ignition of my car and turned on the heater to full blast before my legs became numb.                                     This is how I was welcomed to Shimla in the state of Himachal Pradesh, India, in the month of January. Luckily, my car started immediately against my strong belief that it would not in such cold weather, as, that was the first time I had driven my Volkswagon Polo to a hill station in winters. I woke my college mate up who had coiled like a viper on the conductor seat of our car under the common blanket we had been sharing for past four hours. Being taller and heavier between us, my legs had to bear the wrath of winters as most of the time they had not been covered. At that moment I cursed myself for making such a rash decision of traveling to Shimla in the evening. The reason for
